Backrest Removal / Replacement
General Sauna Backrest Replacement Guide :
1. Preparation and Safety :
1.1. Safety First :
- Ensure that the sauna is disconnected from the power source and that the heater has cooled completely.
- It is advisable to wear safety glasses to safeguard your eyes from any potential debris.
1.2. Gather Your Tools :
- You will need a screwdriver (Phillips screwdriver)
- Have a replacement backrest that is compatible with your sauna. If you don't have an exact replacement from the manufacturer, make sure the dimensions are correct, and the wood type is appropriate for sauna use.
1.3. Inspect the Existing Backrest :
- Carefully examine how the current backrest is attached. Look for screws tabs that match the wood type
- Note the location and type of fasteners.
2. Removal of the Old Backrest :
2.1 Unfasten the Backrest :
- Using a Philips screwdriver, carefully remove the screws under the screw tabs that are securing the backrest.
- If the backrest is stuck, gently try to wiggle it loose. Avoid excessive force, which could damage the sauna walls.
2.2. Clean the Area :
- Once the old backrest is removed, clean any debris or residue from the attachment area.
3. Installation of the New Backrest :
3.1. Position the New Backrest :
- Carefully position the new backrest in the correct location.
- Ensure it aligns with the attachment points.
3.2. Secure the Backrest :
- Using the original or new fasteners, secure the backrest to the sauna wall.
- Tighten the fasteners firmly, but avoid over-tightening, which could damage the wood.
3.3. Test the Backrest :
- Gently test the stability of the new backrest to ensure it is securely attached.
